Issues In Aging radio show discussed issues related to healthy aging with Robin Hawks, Joyce Nussbaum, and Sharon Strang. Robin Hawks, Blue Ridge Community College, discussed the Aging in Place program which began this fall. The certificate program is designed to help students better understand the needs of older adults from multiple aspects.

The Waynesboro Public Library has a new reading incentive program aimed at children from birth through age five and their caregivers. Called Book A Day, the goal is to encourage parents to read to their children.

In July of this year Bath Highland Regional Director and Case Manager Kathryn Coit assumed a new position of Outreach Specialist in the Staunton, Augusta, Waynesboro and Harrisonburg, Rockingham Regions.
