Each year, the Community Benefit Committee of the Augusta Health Board of Directors awards single-year and multi-year grants to non-profit and governmental community partners for programs that address the health priorities identified in the most recent Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), and that closely align to the mission and strategic initiatives of Augusta Health.

Women’s fitness competitors Make Every Rep Count for local charities

The women’s fitness community in Waynesboro, Staunton and Augusta County is getting together to Make Every Rep Count for five local charities. Shenandoah Powerhouse Gym, the Waynesboro YMCA, Anytime Fitness, Crossift and Staunton Health & Fitness are partnering in the Saturday, Nov. 7 event that will raise money for the charities using competitive weightlifting.

Fishburne football ready for Covenant, Parents Military Weekend crowd

The 0-2 start to the 2015 Fishburne Military School football season didn’t concern first-year head coach Chip Hill. The late start to training camp and the issues with weather limiting practice time put the Caissons behind schedule, and FMS opened with two opponents – Fuqua and Roanoke Catholic – that are expected to compete for state playoff bids.
