The Waynesboro Country Club is in “dire financial straits,” according to a group leading a last-ditch fundraising effort to keep the club afloat. The letter, emailed to a wide group of Waynesboro residents by June and Warren Elliott on Sunday, reports that the club needs to raise $250,000 to avoid being exposed to a forced sale or foreclosure.

Wanted Waynesboro man found hiding under bed

The Waynesboro Police Department found a wanted Waynesboro man yesterday afternoon hiding under a bed in a home in the 400 block of North Winchester Avenue. Dustin Lee Wilfong, 23 years old, was wanted on a shoplifting charge from Waynesboro and several probation violations from Shenandoah County when officers found him.

Waynesboro man charged in two domestic incidents

The Waynesboro Police Department has charged a city man on domestic related offenses after two violent incidents over a two day period earlier in the month. Officers charged Nicholas Ryan Stuart, 32 years old, with two felonies and a misdemeanor stemming from assaults on a family member at residence on Bridge Avenue.
