United Way of Greater Augusta received notification that Staunton was awarded $9,537, to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the Greater Augusta region.

The 2016 Golden Mile Fundraiser will support the Daily Living Center Adult Day Health Care, a non-profit, United Way agency.

Friends of the Staunton Library has donated $1,000 to United Way of Greater Augusta to support its Dolly Parton Imagination Library program.

The Staunton Creative Community Fund is partnering with United Way of Greater Augusta to offer financial literacy workshops. The workshops will be a Brown Bag Lunch Series held at the United Way offices, 24 Idlewood Blvd #106 Staunton.

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham region of the Valley Program for Aging Services had the opportunity to meet MillerCoors employees at their annual United Way Employee Fair on October 28 and 30.

United Way of Greater Augusta received notification that Staunton City was awarded $5,173, to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the Greater Augusta region. The selection for Staunton City to receive $5,173 was made by a National Board through state set-aside funds that is chaired by the U.S Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Vector Industries operations and engineering director David Tanner grabbed 54 boxes of goodies at a recent McKee Foods bakery store shopping spree donated by a McKee employee and the United Way of Greater Augusta.

East Rockingham Senior Center hosted volunteers from Wells Fargo for the annual United Way Day of Caring on May 15.

The United Way of Greater Augusta, in partnership with Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Community Action Partnership of Staunton, Augusta and Waynesboro, is offering Master Financial Education Volunteer Training in January 2013.
