After more than two years of offering to-go options only, The Community Table for the Rockbridge Area reopened for in-person dining on Monday.

Virginia State Police is investigating a single vehicle crash which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Saturday at 10:10 p.m. on Spring Branch Road, one-tenth of a mile south of Lacy Lane in Rockbridge County.

Nearly two weeks of overnight on- and off-ramp closures are scheduled for Interstate 81 at exit 205 in Rockbridge County. The nightly ramp closures are from Monday night through Sept. 2.

Update: Wednesday, 9:35 a.m. Leighia Nicole Faith Perkins has been located and is safe, according to a report from The Aware Foundation.

Overnight southbound on-ramp closures are scheduled for Sunday through Thursday nights, May 8-12, at the interchange of Interstate 81 and Route 606 (Raphine Road) at exit 205 in Rockbridge County.

The USDA Forest Service will host Cave Mountain Lake’s annual Kids Fishing Day on Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

VDOT will close the Interstate 81 exit 205 northbound on-ramp on Thursday from 8 p.m. to midnight. Crews will be performing pavement soil testing. This location is in Rockbridge County.

Both Interstate 81 southbound lanes have reopened in Rockbridge County following cleanup from a multi-vehicle crash near mile marker 198.

Overnight ramp closures at the interchange of Interstate 81 and Route 606 at Exit 205 in Rockbridge County are scheduled to begin Monday and continue through Wednesday.
