A late season winter storm has departed the Shenandoah Valley after leaving several inches of snow on Saturday. The area received generally two to three inches with some higher amounts on the ridges.

A late-winter storm is bringing snow and high winds to the Shenandoah Valley and Alleghany Highlands. Many areas could see 2-3 inches of snow, with greater amounts in the northern Shenandoah Valley and higher elevations.

The Central Shenandoah Health District is opening a COVID-19 hotline to answer questions and provide information about COVID-19 and related issues.

Snow arrived in the early morning hours coating many areas with 2 to 3 inches of snow with up to 5 inches in some higher elevations.
