The River City Radio Hour opened it seventh season in August. Now comes a new wrinkle in the popular Wayne Theatre Alliance program. Besides presenting its hour-long performances on the third Friday of the month, WTA will broadcast its monthly offering on Harrisonburg’s WSVA on the last Sunday of the month.

Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe received two more endorsements from Virginia Republicans on Friday. Virginia State Police are investigating the cause of a fatal crash that occurred Thursday morning (Sept. 5, 2013) on Interstate 81 in Rockingham County. At 6:34 a.m., state police was called to the scene of the two-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of I-81 at the 245 mile marker.
