Virginians looking for the perfect peach to sweeten their summer won’t have to wait much longer. According to the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), the state’s peach season has started with the first early varieties.

As we approach the end of the first full month of the 2014 summer driving season, the national price for regular unleaded gas is $3.68 per gallon, which is the highest price for early summer in six years (prices topped $4 per gallon in July 2008).

High school students from across the Commonwealth became the newest graduates of the Junior Law Cadet program, which is co-sponsored by the Virginia State Police and The American Legion.
