On Thursday, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services was notified of a horse in Loudoun County that tested positive for Equine Herpesvirus Myeloencephalopathy (EHM), a neurological disease of horses caused by Equine Herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1).
Construction begins Monday on Route 29 / Route 250 interchange

Construction work will begin Monday on improvements to the Route 29 / Route 250 Bypass interchange in Charlottesville. The first work will involve clearing and grading to construct a storm water management pond inside the loop ramp in the southwest quadrant of the interchange.
