WTA’s Gateway adds aids for hearing impaired

Chris Graham

Thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge, WTA’s Gateway now has equipment to aid patrons who are hearing impaired.

The system allows audience members with various degrees of hearing loss to enjoy performances at the venue at 329 West Main in Downtown Waynesboro.

“The equipment is a great boon to those who have problems with hearing.  The system makes it possible for them to clearly hear as well as see the variety of performances at WTA’s Gateway,” said Dr. Clair Myers, executive director of the Wayne Theatre Alliance. “We are grateful for the investment by the Community Foundation.”

Those who want to have access to the aids for the hearing impaired should request that service when they make reservations or buy a ticket at the box office.
