Virginia, after an 0-3 start, now has won two in a row, and the win on Sunday was significant – a 9-7 road win at #5 Notre Dame.

Nice reset.

Junior midfielder Kate Galica scored three goals for the 24th-ranked ‘Hoos (2-3, 1-0 ACC), including a free-position goal with 9:32 to go that tied the score at 7-7.

Junior attacker Jenna DiNardo gave the Cavaliers an 8-7 edge by scoring on a feed from junior attacker Madison Alaimo three minutes later. Alaimo, who had two goals and three assists on the day, scored an insurance goal with 3:33 remaining to give UVA the 9-7 victory.
