A 17-0 Cal run put the Golden Bears up double-digits in the third quarter. Virginia rallied to get back in front, but a 10-2 Cal fourth-quarter burst was too much for the ‘Hoos in a 76-70 loss on Thursday in JPJ.

The loss drops UVA (13-14, 5-10 ACC) back under the .500 mark on the season.

Sophomore Kymora Johnson had 24 points (8-of-15 FG, 2-of-4 3FG, 6-of-6 FT), seven rebounds and five assists.

Junior Paris Clark chipped in 12 points, five assists and four rebounds for the Cavaliers, who have lost seven of their last nine games.

Cal (22-6, 10-5 ACC) got 18 points each from Ugonne Onyiah and Ionna Krimili.
