William & Mary football ranked No. 24 in national polls

wm-logoAfter posting a convincing 38-16 victory at Villanova on Saturday, the William & Mary football team garnered a national ranking in both major Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) polls this week.

W&M (3-2, 2-1) is ranked tied for No. 24 in the coaches poll, while it earned a No. 24 ranking in the STATS Poll. Both polls are available here.

The Tribe boasts one of the Colonial Athletic Association’s most productive offenses, as it ranks third in the league in scoring offense (29.0) and total offense (415.2). Additionally, the College leadsthe CAA and ranks 11th nationally in scoring defense (16.4).

W&M has faced a difficult season-opening stretch this fall and has played four of its first five games on the road. Additionally, its two losses have come by a combined seven points.

The Tribe will play its next three games at home, beginning with No. 19/20 New Hampshire this Saturday at noon. The contest will be televised regionally by Comcast SportsNet. Tickets can be purchased at TribeAthletics.com or by calling the ticket office at 757-221-3340.
