By appointment – One on one computer sessions. Help is available with Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, email, computer basics, and other programs that are available on the public access computers. Please call for an appointment.

April – One Book One Community. This year’s selection for the community wide book read is Walking Across Egypt by Clyde Edgerton. WPL’s events continue into April due to renovations.

Saturday, April 7, 12:00-3:00 p.m. – Pet Adoption. Share your love with a new pet from the SPCA. This is a One Book One Community event.

Saturday, April 7, 6:00 p.m. – Easter Egg Hunt. Registration is required for this rumpus through the library. Ages 1-10.

April 8-14 – B1G2. Celebrate National Library Week by bringing one friend to sign up for a library card and getting $2 in credit or fines waived on your library account. For adult cards only and good for up to $6.

Monday, April 9, 6:00 p.m. – Food & Southern Literature. Mollie Cox Bryan, local author of Mrs. Rowe’s Restaurant Cookbook, will discuss the role of food in literature. This is a One Book One Community event.

Wednesday, April 18, 7:00-8:00 p.m. – Wednesday Night Book Club. Read thought-provoking books and participate in fascinating and far-ranging discussion with other book lovers. This month’s selection is The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown.

Other programs will resume after renovations are finished.
