Over the course of the past two weeks, the Waynesboro Police Department Special Operations unit has conducted several operations to interdict the street level sale of narcotics in the City of Waynesboro.
As a result, numerous arrests have been made and more arrests are pending forensic analysis which could net additional charges.
On June 5, a Waynesboro K9 officer executed a narcotics search warrant at Shield’s Self Storage on Bayard Avenue in the City of Waynesboro. Jessie Pendleton, 35, of Waynesboro, was found at the scene and arrested on an Augusta County warrant for contempt of court. As a result of evidence found at the scene, charges of simple possession of methamphetamine for Pendleton are also pending forensic lab analysis results.
On June 19, at approximately 10:00 pm, a Waynesboro K9 officer stopped a vehicle on Guilford Lane in the City of Waynesboro. As a result of the stop, a .38 caliber handgun, marijuana and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine were recovered from the vehicle. Charges are pending lab results in this case.
On June 13, police executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of New Hope Road. William Lloyd Bryant, 47, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Bryant was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
On June 19, at approximately 8:30 pm, a Waynesboro Police K9 officer conducted a traffic stop on Rosser Avenue in the City of Waynesboro. As a result of evidence recovered during the traffic stop, 49-year-old Patti Lynn Brown of Charlottesville was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Brown was released on a $2,500 secured bond.
Also on June 19, at approximately 10:15 pm, a Waynesboro Police K9 unit executed a search warrant at the Days Inn Hotel at 2060 Rosser Avenue in Waynesboro. Police recovered methamphetamine and a little over $1,000 in cash. As a result, 48-year-old Sirita Carol Roberts was arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Roberts was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
