Want to try stand-up comedy? The Funny Womacks are here to help

Dawn Womack and Chris Womack, veteran comedians as The Funny Womacks, and showrunners of FWAF Show, formerly X2 Comedy, are launching a four-week workshop beginning on Feb. 12 designed to help you develop your comedic voice and create a five-minute set.

The class will teach techniques used by professional comedians, from the art of writing jokes to performing them in front of an audience, all while helping you tap into your unique comedic style.

Off-stage, Chris Womack is a kinesiology professor at JMU, and Dawn Womack is the content creator behind “Virginia is for Laughers,” a podcast about all things non-hiking in the Shenandoah Valley.

Graduation Showcase: Perform your five-minute set in the student showcase on Friday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m., run as an official FWAF Show.
