Senior led Cavs to road wins over Minnesota, Virginia Tech

Scott averaged 19.0 points and 12.5 rebounds a game in the two games. He was 15-29 (51.7 percent) from the field, including making his only three-point field goal attempt, and 7-9 (77.8 percent) from the free throw line.
The 6-8 native of Chesapeake, Va., had double-doubles in points and rebounds in both games. He now has had double-doubles in four consecutive games and is the first Virginia player to accomplish that since Travis Watson during the 2001-02 season.
In Virginia’s 87-79 win at Minnesota in the ACC-ig Ten Challenge on Nov. 29, Scott scored 17 points, had a game-high 12 rebounds and three assists.
In the Cavaliers’ 57-54 win at Virginia Tech on Sunday (Dec. 5) in the ACC opener for both teams, Scott scored 21 points and had a game-high 13 rebounds.
The ACC Player of the Week recognition is the first for Scott.
