Virginia Beach: Four men arrested Tuesday after string of thefts from automobiles

Four individuals have been arrested in Virginia Beach after a string of thefts from vehicles in the area of 24th Street.

Virginia Beach Police Department officers responded to a reported theft on Tuesday at 3:36 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers identified a suspect vehicle and stopped it nearby where they recovered illegal drugs, a stolen credit card and three firearms, including one which had already been reported stolen.

The following individuals have been arrested in the string of thefts:

  • Jawan Burnell, 24, Chesapeake
  • Khalik Perry, 25, Chesapeake
  • Jermaine Vaughan, 26, Virginia Beach
  • Amard White, 22, Chesapeake

Each has been charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a schedule I or II substance, possession of a firearm while possessing a schedule I or II substance, possession of burglarious tools, grand larceny of a credit card and destruction of property.
