Virginia Aviation Board awards $2.4M in funding for 23 projects at 18 Virginia airports

The Virginia Aviation Board has awarded $2,431,569.47 to fund 23 projects at 18 airports in the Commonwealth.

The most funding to one project was $1.3 million awarded to Hampton Roads Executive Airport for rehabilitation of its South Terminal.

The most projects awarded funding were six projects at Manassas Regional Airport, including for access control and video management systems, CCTV cameras, FAA Approved Foam Testing System, replacement of an ID badge printer, outbound access control card readers, and a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and Spill Prevention Countermeasure and Control updates.

Blue Ridge Regional Airport in Martinsville was awarded more than $53,000 for phase 2 of construction of a runway extension.

Nearly $70,000 was awarded to Allan C. Perkinson Municipal Airport in Nottoway County for construction of broadband internet service.

Culpeper Regional Airport was awarded nearly $16,000 for Greenhouse Road construction stream and phosphorous credits.

Orange County Airport will use nearly $6,000 in funding for a Jet A test fuel recovery tank.

Avigation Easement Acquisition of Coleman Parcel will be possible with $6,500 at Lake Anna Airport.

Smith Mountain Lake Airport was awarded more than $65,000 to update the airport’s layout plan.
