Tuesday was a whirlwind day for former Virginia guard Joe Harris, who woke up a Cleveland Cavalier, had surgery, was traded to the Orlando Magic, and went to bed looking for a job.
Cleveland traded Harris to the Magic to effectively reduce their luxury tax bill and clear cap space for potential late-season acquisitions.
The Magic, in turn, get a 2017 draft pick and cash from the Cavs.
Harris underwent season-ending surgery on Tuesday to remove a bone in his right foot.
The 2014 UVA grad played only five NBA games in the 2015-2016 season.
