VDH Chronic Disease Prevention

cdsmp-logoChronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) Coordinator Joyce Nussbaum and student intern Shannon Regan attended the Virginia Chronic Disease Prevention & Health Promotion Collaborative Network meeting coordinated by the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) March 27.

Joseph Hilbert, Director of Government and Regional Affairs, talked about Collaborative Network Metrics, Mary Mitchell with the Virginia Business Coalition on Health presented information about Worksite Wellness, and an implementation plan for the “Building a Healthier Virginia” VDH grant was presented by Kathy Rocco, Chronic Disease Programs Manager, and several other people who are involved in specific areas of the program.

The Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services is continuing to fund the program across the Commonwealth.
