VCU held Dayton to 34.4 percent shooting in the second half, and needed every bit of that defensive effort to close out a 68-62 road win on Friday night.

With the Rams (24-7, 15-3 A-10) a trendy Last Four In pick, they could be making a return to the Dayton Arena in a couple of weeks for the First Four.

This win, thus, could be good for the muscle memory.

Lazar Djokovic led VCU with 16 points and six rebounds.

Terrence Hill Jr. kicked in 13 points and three assists for the Black and Gold

Javon Bennett led all players with 17 points for the Flyers (21-10, 12-6 A-10).
