Asbury United Methodist Church Delivered Meals for Price Rotary Senior Center: Asbury UMC Pastor Bob Talbott along with members of the church took turns delivering Meals on Wheels for Price Rotary Senior Center the week of August 4-8.

After contacting Volunteer Coordinator Dawn Shull a schedule was set up for them to deliver each day. Many enjoyed their experience so much they would like to continue with the program.

JMU Volunteers Helped with Meals on Wheels: Six JMU students spent three hours volunteering at Price Rotary Senior Center helping Volunteer Coordinator Dawn Shull with packaging meals and decorating brown bags for the Meals on Wheels program. Colorful pictures and encouraging phrases were added to the bags which would be sent with meals and would hopefully brighten up the recipient’s day.

Price Rotary Senior Center Volunteer Appreciation Winner for August: Meals on Wheels volunteers from Pleasant View Inc. were the proud winners of a $15 Wal-Mart gift card which is awarded each month through a drawing by Volunteer Coordinator Dawn Shull as part of their Volunteer Appreciation Program. Second prize of Chick-Fil -A coupons were won by volunteer Don Bourne.
