UVA Winter Sports Meet the Teams Day set for Oct. 18

uva-logo-new2The Virginia men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, and wrestling programs will hold a Meet the Teams Day on Sunday, Oct. 18 from 2-3:30 p.m. at John Paul Jones Arena.

The event is open to the public and admission and parking are free. Fans will have an opportunity to meet and get autographs from student-athletes from each winter sports program and register for raffle prizes, including single-game men’s basketball tickets.

Men’s Basketball Ticket Information and Schedule
Virginia men’s basketball season tickets are sold out for 2015-16 season. A limited number of single-game tickets will be available for the home games against Lehigh (Nov. 25) and Oakland (Dec. 30) beginning Friday, Oct. 23. Additional single-game ticket availability will be announced at a later date. For more information about men’s basketball tickets, please call the Virginia athletics ticket office at 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821). The Cavaliers open the season on Friday, Nov. 13 against Morgan State at 7 p.m.

Women’s Basketball Ticket Information and Schedule
Season and single-game tickets for 2015-16 Virginia women’s basketball home games are on sale. Reserved season tickets are $100, while reserved season tickets for youth, seniors, and UVA faculty and staff are $75. General admission season tickets are $85, $65 for youth, seniors, and UVA faculty and staff. Single-game tickets are $15 for courtside seats and $10 for reserved seats. General admission single-game tickets are $8 and $6 for youth, seniors, and UVA faculty and staff. The Cavaliers open their season on Friday, Nov. 13 at Middle Tennessee State. Virginia’s first home game is on Monday, Nov. 16 against Norfolk State.

Wrestling Schedule
The Virginia wrestling team opens its season at the Clarion Open on Sunday, Nov. 1. The Cavaliers host Old Dominion in their first home dual match on Sunday, Nov. 15 at Memorial Gymnasium. Admission is free to all regular season home matches.

Men’s & Women’s Swimming and Diving Schedule
The Virginia swimming and diving program hosts Tennessee on Friday, Oct. 16.  Start time for the dual meet at the Aquatic and Fitness Center is set for 3 p.m. Admission is free to all regular season home meets.

Tickets to Virginia athletics events can be purchased online at VirginiaSports.com. In-person or telephone purchases can be made by calling 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821) or locally at 434-924-UVA1 (8821) or in-person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium.
