The UVA Softball program, coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance a year ago, landed two players on Softball America’s preseason Top 100 list.
Junior pitcher Eden Bigham was ranked 41st on the list, and junior shortstop Jade Hylton came in at 52.
Bigham was 16-8 with nine complete games, six shutouts, three saves and a 2.44 ERA in 2024.
Hylton slashed .335/.418/.682 with 14 homers, 41 RBIs, 37 runs scored and 15 stolen bases.
The Virginia team opens the 2025 season at the Gamecock Invitational on Feb. 6.
