“I am grateful that no one was hurt and thankful to our law enforcement officers and first responders, both from the University Police Department and from our partners in the city, county, state, and federal law enforcement, for responding quickly and thoroughly investigating the threat.
“I am also grateful to this community for caring for each other. I realize today’s incident was deeply frightening and alarming. Your safety has been and will continue to be my top priority. It is also important to continue to look out for each other. I encourage you to check in with your friends and peers, and to take advantage of University support, including through Student Affairs, Human Resources, Counseling and Psychological Services, and the Faculty and Employee Assistance Program. If you or anyone you know is needing support at this time as a result of today’s Run-Hide-Fight situation, Student Health and Wellness has several resources available to support our community.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding today – I deeply appreciate it.”
