For those of us hoping that the UVA Lacrosse team can get it turned around in time to be among the four teams at Scott Stadium on Memorial Day weekend, we had Saturday.

Virginia upset #1 Notre Dame on Saturday at Klöckner Stadium, holding the Irish scoreless for the final 19:34 in an 11-9 win.

The win is the third in a row for the ’Hoos (6-4, 1-0 ACC), who took the lead for good with 3:29 to go on a goal from Brendan Millon, who had two goals and two assists on the day.

Truitt Sunderland also had a two-goal, two-assist day, with Joey Terenzi and Hudson Hausmann each scoring two goals as well.

Jake Marek (5-3) finished with 11 saves, his third consecutive performance with double-digit stops.
