UVA football: Meet the Team Day set for Saturday at Scott Stadium

uva footballThe annual UVA Football Meet the Team Day will be held Saturday, Aug. 13 at Scott Stadium. Gates open at 6 p.m. for the free event. The north, east and west gates will be open and parking is free in the lots adjacent to the stadium.

At 7 p.m., the football team will be introduced by position group and fans are invited to form a tunnel on the field. Following team introductions, the players will be available for an autograph session on the field. The event will conclude at 8:30 p.m.

The volleyball and field hockey teams will be set-up in the pergola plaza inside the North Gate to interact with fans starting at 6 p.m. The pergola plaza will feature inflatable games, cornhole, a photo booth and balloon artist and a face painter.

The first 500 kids in attendance will receive a HoosRising t-shirt.

Other free giveaway items inside each gate include the 2016 HoosRising schedule poster, magnets and schedule cards. Fans can also enter to win a number of raffle prizes, including tickets to each 2016 home football game.
