The annual UVA Football Meet the Team Day will be held Saturday, Aug. 13 at Scott Stadium. Gates open at 6 p.m. for the free event. The north, east and west gates will be open and parking is free in the lots adjacent to the stadium.
At 7 p.m., the football team will be introduced by position group and fans are invited to form a tunnel on the field. Following team introductions, the players will be available for an autograph session on the field. The event will conclude at 8:30 p.m.
The volleyball and field hockey teams will be set-up in the pergola plaza inside the North Gate to interact with fans starting at 6 p.m. The pergola plaza will feature inflatable games, cornhole, a photo booth and balloon artist and a face painter.
The first 500 kids in attendance will receive a HoosRising t-shirt.
Other free giveaway items inside each gate include the 2016 HoosRising schedule poster, magnets and schedule cards. Fans can also enter to win a number of raffle prizes, including tickets to each 2016 home football game.
