UVA Football had one 2024 All-ACC first-team honoree, safety Jonas Sanker, who was voted to the first team for the second straight season.

The ACC released its All-ACC team on Tuesday.

Clemson led all schools with 10 All-ACC selections on the first, second and third teams, while Miami had the most first-team honorees with four.

Sanker was a no-brainer for the first team, after winning ACC Defensive Back of the Week honors four times in the 2024 season.

The senior from Charlottesville led the conference in solo tackles (66) and was fifth in tackles per game (8.2).

In a 31-30 comeback road win at Wake Forest in Week 2, he tallied 10 tackles, including seven solo, and logged his first career sack. Against Boston College in Week 5, Sanker scored his first career touchdown on a 40-yard fumble return in the fourth quarter and recorded six tackles.

In Virginia’s 24-19 win at then-No. 23 Pitt on Nov. 2, he blocked a field goal and came up with his second career interception, which he returned for 45 yards to set up what proved to be the game-winning touchdown.

Another Charlottesville native, senior wideout Malachi Fields, was named to the All-ACC third team.

Fields finished the regular season eighth in the ACC in both total receiving yards (808) and yards per game (67.3), and he recorded three 100-receiving-yard games this season, including a signature performance in the Cavaliers’ win at Wake, where he finished with career highs in both receiving yards (148) and receptions (11).

Three players were honorable mention All-ACC guys – sophomore linebacker Kam Robinson, grad senior offensive lineman Brian Stevens and senior punter Daniel Sparks.
