UVA, Virginia Tech, primetime – ‘Hoos win, and they’re in the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte, with a College Football Playoff berth on the line.
This is why you play big boy football, folks.
The ACC announced early Sunday that the finale between the ‘Hoos and Hokies will kick off at 7 p.m. with TV via ESPN.
A limited number of tickets are still available for purchase on UVATix.com.
I just sneaked a peek at the weather forecast for next Saturday.
The forecast high in Charlottesville on Saturday is 45.
That’s at 3 p.m.
At kickoff: 35.
At 10 p.m., as the game is winding down: 28.
ACC Network is bringing its “ACC Huddle” show to Grounds. “ACC Huddle” broadcasts from 10 a.m. to noon.
At the end of the night last night, Virginia was one of three programs tied with 6-1 records in ACC play – along with Pitt and SMU.
Pitt (8-3, 6-1 ACC) upset Georgia Tech (9-2, 6-2 ACC) Saturday night in Atlanta, winning 42-28.
Georgia Tech could have clinched a spot in the ACC Championship Game with a win last night; now, the Yellow Jackets are a long shot, at best.
Pitt faces Miami (9-2, 5-2 ACC) this coming Saturday at noon on ABC.
Pitt needs a win, and then a loss either by UVA (9-2, 6-1 ACC) or SMU (8-3, 6-1 ACC), which faces Cal (6-5, 3-4 ACC) this coming Saturday at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
