UVA Football alum Bryce Perkins getting possible MVP love in UFL spring season

Bryce Perkins, the star of the 2019 UVA Football Orange Bowl team, is the second-rated passer in the UFL spring football league, with a QBR at 108.7 for the Michigan Panthers.

Perkins, who is getting buzz as a favorite for MVP this spring season, spent three years in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams, getting action in five regular-season games in 2022, with one start, and one career TD pass.

In six preseason games with the Rams in 2021 and 2022, Perkins passed for 850 yards and five TDs, with one INT and a 65.0 percent completion rate.

At UVA, Perkins passed for 6,218 yards and 47 TDs in two seasons as the starting QB, with a 64.5 percent completion rate, and he also totaled 1,692 yards and 20 TDs on the ground.

This season with the Panthers, who are 6-3 heading into their regular-season finale with the Houston Roughnecks on Saturday (3 p.m. ET, ESPN), Perkins has passed for 1,342 yards and nine TDs, with two INTs and a 69.0 percent completion rate, and 269 yards and five TDs on the ground.
