The bells at the University of Virginia Chapel will toll at 1:55 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, on the two-year anniversary of the mass shooting that took the lives of three UVA Football players.

Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr. and D’Sean Perry lost their lives in the Nov. 13, 2022, shooting on Grounds.

Two other students were injured in the shooting, including Mike Hollins, who was also a member of the UVA Football team.

The bells at the UVA Chapel will mark the anniversary by playing the first verse of “Amazing Grace,” followed by three chimes honoring Chandler, Davis and Perry.

The University community is invited to step outside wherever they are on Grounds, or observe a moment of silence, to remember lives lost during the tolling of the bells, and support the many others who were affected by the tragedy.
