Two stranded dolphins were found deceased in Virginia Beach on Friday. The bodies were found in neighborhoods surrounding the Oceanfront; one was found in Sandbridge, and the second was found on Chic’s Beach.

The Virginia Aquarium stranding response team collected the deceased animals on Friday afternoon, according to Kristina Scott, public relations manager for the Virginia Aquarium.

The dolphin carcasses were transported to the Darden Marine Animal Conservation Center for a postmortem exam and assessment.

No results from the exams have been released.
