Two Staunton teens are dead in an apparent murder-suicide reported Wednesday night.
Jasmine C. Hayslett, 19, was found shot dead in a vehicle parked on Cherry Hill Drive. Staunton Police, responding to the incident reported at 8:17 p.m., heard a gunshot from a residence on the 800 block of Cherry Hill Drive nearby, and in responding to that found Zachary A. Ham, 19, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The investigation is ongoing and preliminary indications are that the incidents are related. The Staunton Police Department is not seeking other suspects in the murder of Hayslett.
Both bodies have been sent to the medical examiner for autopsy.
