Several Waynesboro streets will be closed for the annual 2018 Blue Ridge Classic Soap Box Derby from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 5.
- West Main Street from Maple Avenue to the river bridge
- Arch Avenue from Federal Street to Lumos Plaza.
- Wayne Avenue from Federal Street to Lumos Plaza.
- Race Avenue at West Main Street
- Church Street from Federal Street to Lumos Plaza
There will be no street parking in these areas as well.
All downtown businesses will be open and people are asked to use Federal Street and Lumos Plaza to access the businesses and parking lots. Parking lots will be open, just closed on the Main Street side.
