Tim Kaine to barnstorm Virginia with 25 campaign stops during July 4 week

Contributors

Tim KaineSenator Tim Kaine will spend Sunday, July 1, to Saturday, July 7, campaigning across Virginia, making at least 25 stops across the entire Commonwealth – from Northern Virginia, to Hampton Roads, Richmond, Southwest Virginia, Charlottesville, Southside, the Valley, and more, to share his message of making jobs, health care, and education available to every Virginian.

The swing will feature a number of events, from parades to roundtables, where Kaine will have the opportunity to discuss issues important to Virginians and emphasize the high stakes of this election and the stark choice voters face in November.

On Sunday, Kaine will begin the swing at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Suffolk, before heading to a Chinese American community conversation in Hampton and a picnic in Norfolk. On Monday, Kaine will travel to Virginia Beach — a key swing municipality in Virginia elections — for a day-long series of events focused on women’s health, small and minority-owned businesses, and the environment, before joining a local Indivisible chapter for a meet-and-greet in Newport News. On Tuesday, Kaine will focus on the Peninsula’s economy with a tour and roundtable discussion at Continental Automotive Systems, an auto parts manufacturer, in Newport News, before opening a local field office where he will greet voters.

On Wednesday, Kaine will celebrate Independence Day with Virginians at events in the key counties of Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun in Northern Virginia, including a community breakfast, parades, a block party, and an ice cream social. He will close the day at the Leesburg Independence Day concert and fireworks show. Kaine will be in Winchester, Harrisonburg, and Roanoke on Thursday to host a roundtable on women’s issues, attend a brewery meet-and-greet, and have conversations with supporters. On Friday, Kaine will meet with voters in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Charlottesville. Finally, Kaine will close his campaign swing in Southside with stops in Halifax and Charlotte Counties, before opening a campaign field office in Petersburg.
