‘Holiday Ordeal Tour’: The Wayne Theatre welcomes reality TV star, vocalist Storm Large tonight

The Wayne Theatre announces the return of renowned vocalist and performer Storm Large tonight as part of her celebrated “Holiday Ordeal Tour.”

Large brings her electrifying energy and signature style to Waynesboro audiences, performing selections from her holiday album, “A Joyful Noise.”

Known for her captivating stage presence and extraordinary vocal talent, Large’s “Holiday Ordeal” is anything but your typical holiday show. The dazzling concert experience blends holiday classics, original songs and the vocalist’s iconic flair for storytelling, offering a fresh and unforgettable take on the season.

“We’re delighted to welcome Storm Large back to the Wayne Theatre,” said Tracy Straight, Executive Director of The Wayne Theatre. “Her unique take on holiday music and her magnetic presence promise an evening of joy, laughter, and unforgettable performances. It’s a perfect way to celebrate the season with family and friends.”

Large gained national attention as a contestant on the CBS reality television show “Rock Star: Supernova” in 2006, where her dynamic performances earned her a dedicated fan base. In 2011, she began performing with the Portland-based band Pink Martini, touring internationally and contributing to their albums “Get Happy” and “Je dis oui!” She has also collaborated with artists like k.d. lang, Rufus Wainwright, and George Clinton. Beyond music, Large is an accomplished actress and author. Her autobiographical one-woman show, “Crazy Enough,” premiered in 2008 and received critical acclaim. The memoir of the same name was published in 2012 and was named Oprah’s Book of the Week. Large’s fearless artistry and diverse talents have made her a beloved figure in music, theater and beyond.

Holiday Ordeal” marks Large’s latest holiday album, which features a mix of heartwarming and humorous interpretations of festive favorites, as well as her own compositions. Her powerful voice and boundary-pushing artistry shine through every track, making it a must for the holiday season.

Large will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024 at The Wayne Theatre, 521 W. Main Street, Waynesboro. Tickets are available online or by calling the box office at 540-943-9999.
