Update from the Jeff Price 24th District campaign

We have been very busy these last few weeks.

Our May 8th campaign kickoff was a great success. We were joined by many of our old and new friends from every part of the 24th district.

Since then, I have given our first campaign radio interview, met with community leaders in Buena Vista, attended a forum on the much debated Boy Scout Jamboree in Goshen Pass and joined my friends in Effinger for a horse pull.

We are looking forward to next week, and we would love to see you around, if you are available.

Laura, the kids and I are looking forward to bringing the Jeep to Effinger for the Fireman’s parade this Friday, May 22 at 7 p.m.

I can’t wait to see some great folks there!

We are having a great event Tuesday, May 26, starting 5 p.m. at the home of Ms. Margaret Howard, 406. S. Main St., Lexington and hosted by the Rockbridge and Lexington Democratic Committees. Contact Leslie Fain at [email protected] to RSVP.

We are contacting folks all over the district. No matter where you live, we have volunteer opportunities and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Contact Joe Biederman at [email protected] to learn more about our volunteer opportunities.

Update from the Greg Marrow 25th District campaign

There has been a lot going on recently, and I wanted to take a minute and update everyone on some issues. We have less than one month until the June 9 primary, and we need everyone to show up and support Greg Marrow. This year is too important to Virginia to allow people to sit down. We need to rally behind all of our great candidates and take back the General Assembly!

With so little time before the primary, we need to send out mailings, advertise on the newspapers and TV and we need your help with this. We have so much work to do and we need your help to keep our campaign moving.

We have to raise $3,500 for our mailings to go out. If we don’t reach this, we will not get out the word for people to vote for Greg this June. I know we can all come together and accomplish this task.

– $25 ( 30 second spot on Radio)

– $50 (150 Mailings)

– $100 (450 Mailings)

– $250 (30 second spot on TV)

With your contribution we will be able to reach thousands of voters and bring progress to the Valley and bring representation back the people.

We have geared up our field operations and will be phone banking everyday through now till the election to get out the word! We need your help, we have thousands of Democrats to call with very little time. Greg and I have been knocking on doors but we still have a long way to go, we need your help to canvass. Sign up to help make phone calls and door knocking by e-mailing [email protected], or callig 540.560.8850.

You can sign up on the website www.gregmarrow.com.

Green jobs forum May 26

Candidates from around the Valley will gather in a Candidates Forum to discuss green energy jobs and conservation. This will be held in Staunton at the Staunton Public Library meeting room at 7:30 p.m.

This will be a great opportunity learn more about our Democratic Party platforms with green energy jobs.

The event is free and open to the public.

Meet and Greet event in Waynesboro June 2

The Waynesboro Democratic Committee is hosting a Meet the Candidates event to give local voters a chance to familiarize themselves with the candidates on the ballot for the June 9 state and local primary.

The event is on for Tuesday, June 2, 6-8 p.m., at The Pavilion in Constitution Park in Downtown Waynesboro.

Food will be provided by Shukri’s BBQ in Downtown Waynesboro. We’ve got commitments from 25th District nomination candidates Jim Noel and Greg Marrow to be on hand for the event.

In addition, we will be putting out invitations to the three candidates for governor and the three candidates for lieutenant governor. We’re not anticipating that we will necessarily have all or any of the candidates on hand, but we will work to have a campaign representative from each there, and also will invite the candidates to submit to us brief videos that we can have running for those in attendance.
