The Fourth of July is celebrated in Scottsville on the River.
The town’s annual Rhythm on the River Fourth celebration is set for Friday from 6-9:30 p.m.
Musical entertainment will be provided by bluesman Ron Johnson and bluegrass favorites Jackass Flats.
The night will be capped off by a fireworks show on the James River.
The event is free.
