Take the plunge: Special Olympics Virginia registration open for polar plunge events

Crystal Graham

polar plunge virginia beach From the icy shores of the Atlantic Ocean to the frigid waters of lakes and pools, thousands of participants will jump into freezing waters this winter to benefit Special Olympics Virginia.

There are multiple locations to take part in the fundraising effort: from Richmond to Northern Virginia and Virginia Beach to the New River Valley.

The six events run from Dec. 14 to March 1.

Registration is open now for the Freezin’ for a Reason Polar Plunge series.

Once you sign up, participants are encouraged to fundraise to support Special Olympics Virginia’s 20,000+ athletes. Monies raised help provide year-round sports training, competition and health and wellness programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
