Streaking JMU football enters national rankings

jmu logoJames Madison football has cracked the top 25 nationally for the first time this season, entering the Sports Network Poll at No. 25 Monday. The ranking comes on the heels of JMU’s fifth consecutive win and fourth road win of the season, defeating Stony Brook, 27-24, Nov. 8.

The Dukes received 355 points in the poll to move into the rankings. The last time that JMU was in the Sports Network Top 25 was Nov. 4, 2013, coming in at No. 22. The Colonial Athletic Association has five teams in the top 25, led by new No. 1 New Hampshire, as well as No. 6 Villanova, No. 14 Richmond and No. 24 William & Mary.

James Madison will travel for its final regular-season road game at No. 14 Richmond, Nov. 15. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and will be nationally televised on NBC Sports Network.
