Staunton PD searching for man wanted for sexual battery of 7-year-old

The Staunton Police Department is attempting to locate Michael L. Mellon, who is wanted for aggravated sexual battery and forcible sodomy of a 7-year-old child. Mellon is described as a 35-year-old Asian male, 5’11″, 180 pounds, last seen wearing a goatee and prescription glasses.

It is believed that Mellon is aware that he is wanted and may have fled the area to avoid law enforcement authorities. Anyone with information regarding Mellon’s whereabouts should call the Staunton Police Department at 540.332.3842 or 9-1-1.
