The Staunton Democratic Committee will sponsor a non-partisan Candidate Forum on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Staunton.

The forum will be held at Ciders From Mars, 121 S Lewis St., Staunton.

The candidates who have accepted and will attend include Ken Mitchell for Congress, and all three Staunton School Board candidates, including Joann S. Jeter, Ronald W. “Ron” Ramsey and Michele L. Kielty.

Also in attendance and participating in the forum will be all five Staunton City Council candidates: Adam F. Campbell, C. Dan Gunnells, Jeff L. Overholtzer, Corrie R. Park and Blake N. Shepherd.

An invitation was sent to, but declined, by Ben Cline (Republican) running for U.S. Congress.

Voters can order food and/or drink before the Forum begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring a warm jacket and appropriate attire for a cool evening, as well as a portable chair since the event may be crowded.
