Staunton: City to offer free public parking downtown during 2024 holiday season

The City of Staunton will offer complimentary public parking in the Downtown Central Business District during the 2024 holiday season.

Details are as follows:

  • Monday, Dec. 2 – Friday Dec. 20: Two-hour free parking in the Wharf Parking Lot, Johnson Street Garage, and New Street Garage.
  • Monday, Dec. 23: All-day free parking in all public parking facilities and on-street spaces. Note that posted time limitations still apply.
  • City holidays and weekends: Parking remains free on all weekends and city holidays including Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1. Note that posted time limitations still apply.

Signage will be positioned at the entrances to public parking facilities as a reminder to customers.
