Staunton Augusta Art Center issues a call for entries

The Staunton Augusta Art Center invites artists working in all mediums, including fine crafts, to submit application for major gallery exhibitions to be scheduled in the Staunton Augusta Art Center galleries in 2013-2015.

Applications may be made by individuals for solo exhibitions or by curators or groups for group shows. To apply, please submit a resume and general artist’s statement for each participating artist and images (digital images are preferred, labeled slides and photographs will be accepted) of at least eight different pieces of representative work created by each artist.

The deadline for this is March 1, 2012.

Submissions may be mailed to:

Standards Committee
c/o Staunton Augusta Art Center
in the R.R. Smith Center for History & Art
20 S. New Street
Staunton, VA 24401

The Staunton Augusta Art Center’s Vice President of Standards Bob Avery is in the process of selecting members of a Standards Committee which will convene in March and April to complete the jury process.    Letters of acceptance and non-acceptance will be sent to applying artists by the end of April or the first part of May after which staff will begin scheduling the 2013 exhibition year and beyond.

Please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope if you wish the images to be returned to you (allow three months to return).
