A Catlett man is dead after an accident Friday night in Fauquier County.

Ramiro Henandez Barriga, 19, died at the scene.

The crash occurred Aug. 9 at 10:51 p.m. on Route 806, three tenths of a mile north of Route 607, according to Virginia State Police.

Police say Barriga’s 2006 Ford Focus was traveling south on Elk Run Road when it crossed a double solid yellow line and ran off the left side of the highway. Police report that Barriga struck and fence before colliding with several trees and overturning.

The crash remains under investigation.
