A Mount Jackson man is dead after his Ford Transit van ran off the right side of the road in Shenandoah County on Tuesday.

Daniel S. Painter, 42, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to a report from Virginia State Police.

The crash occurred at 8:25 a.m. in the 7000 block of Orkney Grade Road.
