The Highland County Fair was the last week of August, and Second Wind presented its first decorated float in this year’s parade.
The weather gave new meaning to the word “float” as torrential rains struck just at parade time. Ten of our Second Wind program presenters and instructors braved the downpour, smiling, waving, and throwing candy to the many hardy spectators, including Paul and Mary Lavigne and Gracie the pup. The sight of the cheering people lining Main Street kept our spirits high.
