Sarvis for #VAGov statement on federal government shutdown

A statement issued by Robert Sarvis, Libertarian for #VAGov, regarding the federal government shutdown:

“The government shutdown is further proof of the extreme dysfunction we’ve come to expect from Republicans and Democrats.

“We need a more intelligent political discourse focused on issues and real solutions to our problems, rather than demagoguery, obstructionism, ever-expanding government, and politics as usual.

“That’s why I got into politics, to offer a better path forward. That’s why I’m running for Governor of Virginia.

“I want to work with legislators from both parties to ensure Virginia remains free and prosperous for generations to come, to maintain our economic vitality and reduce our dependence on federal outlays, to build a Virginia that is open-minded and open for business.”
