Russell County: Single vehicle accident on Route 19 leads to ejection, fatality

One person is dead after his truck ran off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail in Russell County on Monday night.

Jacob S. Kincaid, 37, was ejected from the truck and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to Virginia State Police.

The accident occurred at approximately 8 p.m.

Kincaid’s GMC pickup truck was travelling northbound on Route 19 near the intersection with Campbells Park Road.

The crash remains under investigation.
